And finally… Office on stilts planned for London

Foster + Partners has submitted plans for a major office-led development which would be built on stilts to allow trees and open public space to run beneath the building.
Known as Colechurch House, the mixed-use scheme will stand in the shadow of the Shard near London Bridge Station and will also provide a theatre, shops, restaurant, bar, and gym.
The 510,000 sq ft building has been designed to be raised by up to 18m above ground level on big steel columns and braces.
If planning is approved by Southwark Council, the plan is to start construction as early as spring/summer next year with the aim of completing the project by 2024.
