The event has received fantastic support from the local community and looks to have 19 teams taking part and a range of local businesses sponsoring the day.

The main event sponsors are Vista Properties.

A golfer at this year’s golf day could land an impressive drive – behind the wheel of a new car thanks to Angus company Mackie Motors which is also sponsoring the event.

A hole-in-one on the 3rd could see one lucky player pick up the keys to a Renault KOLEOS offered as a prize by Mackie Motors.

The event looks to help raise funds for Help for Kids which is a children’s charity based in the heart of Dundee and Perth. The charity is facilitated through a partnership between Wave FM, Overgate Dundee and the Evening Telegraph.

Kevin Webster, managing director of Vista Properties, said: “Vista Properties are hosting their 3rd annual charity golf event at Scotscraig Golf Club and having been approached by Help for Kids board member Derek Miller to ask if we would consider choosing their charity to support this year, we were more than delighted to help. A lot of hard work and planning go into these events and I have to personally thank my partner Nikki and Stacey from Help for Kids for all their efforts in making this event possible.

“A big thank you to all local Angus and Tayside businesses who have kindly supported our event again this year. We have 76 golfers participating which is fantastic and we are just praying for good weather on Friday.”

Sales manager at Mackie Motors Renault and Dacia, Derek Clark, said: “We’re delighted to continue our support for the Vista Properties Golf Day again this year. The event has gone from strength to strength each year since its inception and it’s a fantastic way to showcase and raise funds for local charities.”

A raffle and auction after the event will be followed by a lunch at the Porters Bar and Restaurant.
