Bellway was named in the HBF’s annual list of the housebuilders most highly rated by their customers.

The award demonstrates that over 90% of Bellway’s customers who completed the HBF’s National New Homes Customer Satisfaction Survey would recommend the housebuilder to a friend.

Bellway Homes Ltd (Scotland West), which has its head office in Hamilton, is currently building new homes in Barrhead, Bishopton, East Kilbride, Glasgow, Hamilton, Helensburgh, Kilmarnock, Livingston, Robroyston and Thornliebank.

Across the UK, the housebuilder has spent £450 million in six months in a record expansion of its land bank adding 8,848 plots to bring its total land bank to 76,706 plots in the six months to the end of January. 

Jason Honeyman, chief executive, said it showed Bellway’s positive outlook for the “short and medium term”.

The company sold a record 5,656 homes in the first half, up 6.3% on the previous year. It expects to complete the sale of about 10,000 in the full year, up from 7,522 a year earlier.

The housebuilder also revealed a further £20m charge to deal with legacy cladding issues on apartment blocks.
