Capita eyes Scottish expansion with new divisional director

Capita Property has promoted Peter McGettrick to divisional director of Capita Property and Infrastructure in Scotland and the north to help its expansion.

From the firm’s Glasgow office, Mr McGettrick will lead a team of over 230 professional staff providing locally based services in project management, cost management, building surveying, health and safety and construction design and management services across Scotland, the Midlands and the North of England.

He takes on a client base and range of projects including the City of Edinburgh Council, Scottish Power, KPMG, and Glasgow Film Theatre.



His previous role as director of health and safety for Capita Property & Infrastructure saw him direct several projects including Access to Work Assessment Contract for DWP and the London Borough of Barnet Outsourcing Contract while also managing over 100 staff across the UK in a number of health and safety businesses.

He will play a key role in growing Capita Property and Infrastructure’s diverse client portfolio in Scotland and the North while also building on the excellent reputation and success the business has already achieved.”

Mr McGettrick said: “I’m thrilled to be taking on this role at such an interesting time for the property and infrastructure in the North. The rebalancing of the economy that’s begun though the Northern Powerhouse will see over £13 billion worth of planned investments spent on place based infrastructure and I’m focused on making Capita Property and Infrastructure a central part of that positive change.”
