CCG (Scotland) Ltd has launched a new company that aims to offer a comprehensive range of services to the Scottish building and construction industry.

Arc-Tech, which began trading this summer, offers a diverse range of mechanical and electrical design services, including plumbing, gas and electric installation, off-site manufacturing and expertise in project management.

The new company will operate under the CCG parent brand and is expected to generate £4.5 million in its first year with plans to achieve £15m by 2020.

Cambuslang-based CCG was established in 1974 and has grown to employ over 600 staff, including 60 modern apprentices, with site activity across central Scotland.

Arc-Tech’s current work programme includes a diverse range of technical projects including the new National HVDC Centre, a bespoke training and testing facility for SSE located in Cumbernauld, as well as a new 54-bedroom care home and an activity and support centre for veterans in Paisley which is being built for the Royal Blind and Scottish War Blinded respectively. Each project is being delivered by CCG as the main contractor.

Chairman and CEO of CCG (Scotland) Ltd, Alastair Wylie, said: “As the construction side of our business continues to grow, we are seeing a real shortfall in the number of company’s offering high quality, carefully project-managed building services. That is why we decided to establish Arc-Tech - to meet that growing demand.

“The new team we have in place have decades of industry experience, and we are confident that this new division will take the CCG Group from strength to strength.”

Managing director of Arc-Tech (Scotland) Ltd, John Gallacher, added: “On behalf of myself and my team, I can say that we are very excited about what the future holds for Arc-Tech. We have a significant work programme for 2016 from existing CCG contracts and will look to establish our presence in the marketplace in 2017, showcasing our experience and first class customer service to the public and private sector.

“Much like our parent company, Arc-Tech will establish itself as an industry leader through the skills of our team and the quality of service we provide to clients.”
