Clark Contracts to conduct makeover at Livingston Designer Outlet

Livingston Designer Outlet has announced plans to undertake a full refurbishment and rebrand with a £7 million investment from its owners.

The multi-million pound investment in the centre, managed by retail asset management specialists Realm Ltd, will transform the shopping destination to create a new guest experience, coming on the back of the Outlet’s growing popularity and a rising number of big brand names choosing to open stores in the designer outlet.

Clark Contracts has been appointed to carry out the works which will be carried out on a nightshift basis to minimise disruption to the shopping centre, which features over 80 boutiques, restaurants and cafes as well as an eight-screen digital Vue Cinema.

Steve Blades, capital projects manager at Realm, said: “We are pleased to appoint Clark Contracts and look forward to working closely with them to deliver this exciting project which will firmly secure Livingston’s reputation as Scotland’s leading designer outlet for years to come.

Gerry Cummins, director at Clark Contracts, said: “We are looking forward to delivering the fit out of this popular shopping centre and hope that the changes made will improve Livingston Designer Outlet shoppers’ experience.”

Clark Contracts has recently completed fit out works within the Gyle Shopping Centre in Edinburgh and has previously worked in Braehead Shopping Centre in Glasgow, the Oak Mall in Greenock and Rivergate Shopping Centre in Irvine.
