Colin joins managing director Phil McGinlay and land & development director Derek Smith to build on the success of the senior team.

A Chartered Quantity Surveyor for twenty five years, Colin has extensive experience of delivering social and integrated housing developments in partnership with registered social landlords and local authorities. He has spent the last 22 years with the Cruden Group, with the majority of his tenure as director. He held responsibility for commercial, development, land and technical activities, as well as having an overview of the financial performance of the business.

Colin Anderson said: “I’m pleased to be joining Swan Group at such a crucial time for affordable and social housing across the country. Having started in quantity surveying, I then progressed into a development role and subsequently was appointed as a director for a business delivering affordable housing. I understand the challenges, as well as opportunities within this sector. I look forward to working as part of the senior team at Swan Group to build on their success in providing much needed, high quality, affordable homes which are already transforming communities across Scotland.”

Phil McGinlay, managing director of Swan Group, said: “Colin’s appointment to Swan Group as commercial director will further enhance the growth of the business. His experience in the industry working with registered social landlords and local authorities to create more homes will be invaluable. It’s great to have Colin as part of the team and we look forward to working together.”

Despite the challenges of operating during the pandemic Swan Group continues to move forward with a range of new build and refurbishment developments across Scotland, including starting work on 151 new homes in Newhall Street, Glasgow.
