Dundee trampoline park and bowling alley plans approved

Dundee trampoline park bowling and trampoline areasPlans to convert a former market building into a leisure complex including a trampoline park and a bowling alley have been given the go-ahead by Dundee City Council.

Local firm ARKTX lodged an application for consent on behalf of Dundee businessman Chris Airlie to transform Dens Road Market in a £1.5 million project.

Now the council has granted planning permission for the proposed complex, which is set to include a tenpin bowling alley, trampoline park, adventure play area, crazy golf course, bumper cars and a cafe/dining area.

Mr Airlie told the Evening Telegraph: “This is great news. It has been hard work to get to this stage and I’m really happy with the progress being made. I have to thank the architects who have helped me so far with this project.

“The planners have also done their job to make sure everything is in place so we can move on smoothly.

“A lot of work has had to be done so the building can be turned in to a leisure centre.”

He added: “We are finalising the plan and drawings to take council conditions into account.”

Trampoline operator Urban Air has said the project would be a fantastic new attraction for the city.
