Former Havelock Europa chief executive joins CMS Window Systems
Window, door and curtain walling designer, manufacturer and installer CMS Window Systems has taken the latest step on its growth strategy path with the appointment of a new chief operating officer (COO).
David Ritchie joins CMS from interior fit-out business Havelock Europa where he was CEO, and brings with him a wealth of experience in senior roles within some of the building industry’s best-known businesses. He takes up a newly created post on the board of directors which continues to be headed by chief executive officer, Andy Kerr.
It is a role which sees David assigned with a number of key operational responsibilities, enabling Andy Kerr to resume a role that is much more customer-facing. David’s appointment as COO is the latest stage of the Queen’s Award for Enterprise winning company’s growth strategy which will also see it develop a new manufacturing base in 2018.
Commenting on David Ritchie’s appointment, CEO Andy Kerr said: “We’re delighted to be able to welcome David to the business and we look forward to working together to realise our growth plans and take CMS Window Systems into a new era.
“2018 is set to be an exciting year as we expand our manufacturing capacity and expand our networks of CMS Approved Retail and Trade Partners. This will enable many more customers across different market sectors to benefit from our expanded product portfolio, whilst giving us an even better platform to serve our established residential and commercial markets.”
