GDL begins 2021 with six new contract wins

Geographically spread between Perth and Colchester, with others in Clydebank, Stoneyetts, Crieff and Harelaw, all new contracts are scheduled to commence in the next few weeks.

Alongside bulk earthworks, the firm’s works include specialist ground improvement techniques such as soil modification, soil stabilisation and vibro stone columns. Each of the sites has been value engineered to provide geotechnical solutions that benefit the developments both technically and commercially and will be delivered for a mixture of both repeat and new clients.

GDL’s soil modification and stabilisation techniques maximise the re-use of site-won materials which in turn can reduce or eliminate the requirement for the off-site disposal of surplus excavated materials and imported aggregates.

Kevin Mackenzie, managing director for Ground Developments Ltd, added: “These new contract awards, coupled with the continuation of some of our 2020 contracts provide a solid basis for the year ahead. The outlook for 2021 is very positive with many more projects in our pipeline.

“Our early involvement in projects means that we can offer value engineered solutions to our clients and we often work with our clients and their design teams for many months to ensure that we deliver the best solution for each site.

“The hard work and dedication of all of our staff both in the office and on site is critical to our success and the ongoing relationships that we have with both our repeat and new clients.”
