Glasgow flats conversion plan withdrawn for further review
Proposals to convert a former Pollokshields school building into flats have been withdrawn by the applicant.
Under the plans, two semi-detached villas at 2 Hamilton Avenue, which were part of the Craigholme campus, were to be transformed into seven flats.
The apartments were to be created over the two floors and attic, one with three bedrooms, and three each with one and two bedrooms.
However, correspondence submitted to Glasgow City Council on behalf of the applicant requests that the proposal be withdrawn “to allow time to review the application with a view to re-submitting in the future”.
The Pollokshields Trust had described it as “overdevelopment to the detriment of West Pollokshields Conservation Area”.
