The application sought to convert the empty offices located at 26 to 36 St Enoch Square into 26 flats.

Twenty-two of the flats will have one bedroom and four will be two-bedroom duplexes.

The building at 34/36 St Enoch Square is B-listed.

Externally the proposal involves the replacement of roof lights, roof repairs, façade repairs and replacement windows.

Increasing residential property within the city centre is part of a strategy by Glasgow City Council.

A supporting statement submitted alongside the proposal reads: “St Enoch Square was historically designated to be a residential square and so these proposals reintroduce residential back into St Enoch Square and will provide Glasgow City Centre with much needed central living.”
