Hollis partner Anne Johnstone appointed to CSIC board

The Construction Scotland Innovation Centre (CSIC) has appointed Anne Johnstone as a member of the governance board.

Anne Johnstone

A partner at international, independent building consultants Hollis, Ms Johnstone has two decades of experience advising on the impact of environmental liabilities within the commercial property market. She joined Hollis in 2016 as partner for environment, energy and sustainability and is a prominent voice in the areas of sustainability and construction across the UK.

The CSIC provides strategic, industry-driven guidance and connects businesses, university experts and public sector providers in a bid to advance transformational change in construction. Johnstone’s appointment follows the centre’s drive to seek out new, diverse voices from across the industry and her advice and guidance will be vital to accelerating the board’s agenda.

Ms Johnstone said: “I am delighted to have been appointed to the governance board of Construction Scotland Innovation Centre. There is so much energy and ambition within the organisation, and I can’t wait to get started.

“Serving as a governance board member will be a fantastic opportunity to address two issues that are very important to me - the role of the built environment in tackling climate change and encouraging more girls and women into the industry.”
