Holmes Miller submits plan to revamp Dunblane’s Queen Victoria School

QVS Teaching blockProposals for the phased redevelopment and modernisation of Queen Victoria School in Dunblane have been submitted to Stirling Council.

Developed by Holmes Miller Architects, working collaboratively with GVA James Barr and Horner + MacLennan Landscape Architects, the plans include rationalisation and modernisation of the MoD funded boarding school and grounds.

Proposals also include the provision of a new teaching block, accommodation block and relocation of activities to existing and new build accommodation such as pipes and drums centre, dance hall, new stores building and new dining kitchen building.

Demolition of surplus unlisted buildings and extensive landscaping and other public realm improvement works and drainage works to existing burn and repositioning of culvert are also planned.
