IFT provides a comprehensive range of flooring systems and installation services for clients across Scotland and the North of England.

It was contracted by Robertson Construction to provide flooring at the Macallan distillery and visitor centre that opened in June 2018.

Aesthetics were a critical aspect of this project, with over 21,000m2 of flooring installed within a complex facility at a remote location. The use of resin flooring ensured that the floors in the industrial space would maintain a functional, visually attractive finish for a long period of time, with tourist areas having to withstand foot traffic of approximately 50-60,000 visitors per annum.

Managing director Greg Love said: “The past 12 months have been extremely busy for all service areas, working on contracts such as The Macallan distillery and visitor experience, the new Government hub at Edinburgh Waverley for McAleer & Rushe, and the Edinburgh Airport terminal expansion for BAM. We are delighted to have received this recognition for our work with this awe inspiring project.

“We have seen an increase in demand for our specialist services within the food and drink sectors. In addition to Macallan, recent stand out projects that IFT have worked on include Gleneagles Hotel, BrewDog’s state of the art eco-brewery and the new So L.A. restaurant in Glasgow.”
