Jonathan Fair joins Construction Scotland’s Industry Leadership Group
McCarthy and Stone’s regional managing director in Scotland, Jonathan Fair, has been appointed to Construction Scotland’s Industry Leadership Group (ILG).
Construction Scotland said it made the appointment as it continues to bring together key figures from the private and public sector to drive sector growth and industry-wide collaboration.
Over the course of his 30 years in construction, Jonathan has gained a wealth of experience in the housebuilding sector, having previously held senior positions as Central Scotland’s managing director at Stewart Milne and chief executive at Homes for Scotland.
Based at its Scottish headquarters in Glasgow, Jonathan has full responsibility for McCarthy & Stone’s operations in Scotland, including managing its build, sales and customer service activities.
Mr Fair said: “I am delighted to have joined Construction Scotland’s Industry Leadership Group. The group is the leading voice of the construction sector and the members are passionate and committed to driving the sector forward.
“My ambition is to help support the development and growth of the industry in Scotland, to be more sustainable, innovative and productive.”
Ken Gillespie, chair of Construction Scotland’s Industry Leadership Group, added: “Welcoming Jonathan to the ILG is another positive step as we aim to work with partners and customers in the industry across the public and private sectors.
“Jonathan’s knowledge of the industry and expertise in Scotland are incredible assets and I have no doubt that his proven track record and excellent leadership skills will be of huge benefit to the ILG. I look forward to working with him to promote the construction industry in Scotland.”
