Link unveils plans for 550 homes at Dalmarnock Riverside

Dalmarnock RiversidePlans have been submitted for a development of 550 new homes in Glasgow’s East End.

Link Group’s proposal is for a mixture of homes for social rent, mid market rent, shared equity and sale at Dalmarnock Riverside.

The application follows the purchase of remediated riverfront land from Clyde Gateway which, according to Urban Realm, has a buy back clause to retake the land if construction fails to begin within three years.

Designed by Hypostyle Architects, the development will include open spaces which incorporate home zone principles and a central park.

Link Group said the project could deliver up to 76 jobs if approved.

Craig Sanderson, chief executive Link Group Limited, told our sister publication Scottish Housing News: “Link Group Ltd and Hypostyle Architects have submitted plans to build 550 new high quality homes for social rent, mid market rent, shared equity and sale. If planning is approved, Link will work with partners and stakeholders, to develop the site as well as delivering a range of community benefits, including up to 76 jobs to the Clyde Gateway area, which will provide a lasting legacy for the Dalmarnock area and the people living there.”
