Man falls from scaffolding in Glasgow city centre

Emergency services were called to Glasgow city centre this morning after a man fell from scaffolding.

Police and ambulance services attended the incident which occurred at St Vincent Lane around 7.45am.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We were called around 7.45am to a report a man falling from scaffolding in St Vincent Lane in Glasgow city centre.

“Emergency services are currently at the scene.”



Glasgow City Council confirmed that the incident forced the closure of Wellington Street, between St Vincent Street and Bothwell Street.

Details of injuries are not yet known.
