Morrison Construction wins £17m Moray education deal

Morrison ConstructionMorrison Construction has been appointed preferred bidder by Moray Council for the refurbishment of four primary schools under the LHC Framework

The £17 million contract will see the Galliford Try subsidiary work on projects at Applegrove in Forres, Millbank in Buckie, Seafield in Elgin and St Gerardines in Lossiemouth.

Galliford Try’s Building business has also reached financial close on the £38m Hull and East Riding batch under the first phase of the Government’s Priority School Building Programme.

Greg Fitzgerald, executive chairman of Galliford Try, said: “Education remains a cornerstone for our Building business across the UK and we are delighted to have been awarded these contracts. We look forward to working with our partners to create school buildings fit for the provision of a high-quality education for their pupils.”
