Persimmon Homes North Scotland has started construction on a £30 million housing scheme in Muirhead and an £18m residential development in Dunfermline.

Located off Station Road, the Heathfields development in Muirhead consists of 156 new homes and will feature a collection of two, three, four and five bedroom properties.

As well as providing much needed new homes to the area, the development is also expected to support more than 450 jobs.

Plans to transform the 26 acre site were given the green light when permission was granted by North Lanarkshire Council in October 2015.

Iain Innes, managing director at Persimmon Homes North Scotland, said: “We are excited to begin construction and expect the first properties to become available to buy in April, with first customers moving in late Autumn.

“The development will bring much needed homes to the local area and we are very much looking forward to delivering such a positive change.”

Meanwhile the first foundations of 92 new homes are being laid off Dunlin Drive in Dunfermline following the acquisition of the 9 acre site by Persimmon.

The development will comprise a mix of three, four and five bedroom detached and semi-detached dwellings.

Iain Innes added: “The site at Dunfermline is in a great location and our plans will ensure that a range of homes are developed to support the high demand in the area.

“We’ve been actively building homes across Scotland for a number of years and this latest site is testament to our commitment to extending our operations throughout Fife and further North.

“Persimmon Homes has a great reputation for delivering quality, affordable homes and we’re sure the local community will benefit from the increased number of houses available in what is already a popular residential area.”
