Proposed EuroPark development brought to life in new video

The team behind the proposed EuroPark development, located on the M8 corridor in North Lanarkshire, have unwrapped their vision for the brand new green at heart community in the form of a new website and video.

EuroPark’s online launch comes as the initial planning submission is considered by North Lanarkshire Council following its submission in June.

The proposal includes the provision of 2,600 new homes, 1,000 of which have been allocated to social and affordable housing; all surrounding a brand new country park which will enhance the natural woodland, greenspace and waterways that currently exist on the site.

The new two-minute video brings to life the plans and the associated community benefits, as well as offering a fly-through of the site to show the context of the new development within the existing environment.

Those following the planning submission can now log on to www.euro-park.co.uk to view the video and read all about the proposals being put forward.

Scott Gillespie, director of Orchard Brae, said: “We are pleased to launch our website and bring the vision for EuroPark to life through this brand new video.

“Viewers will be able to see first-hand how the neighbourhood could be laid out, and get a better idea of our commitment to have the country park at the heart of the development with the sizeable social and affordable housing allocation integrated within each of the village pockets.

“This is the first time our vision has been realised into film and dispels many of the myths that this development will replace the woodland, ponds, canal and riverbanks. In fact – what the video shows is how they are an integral part of the proposals to ensure, keeping fit and getting outdoors into beautiful surroundings can be a part of daily life should this proposal be taken forward.”

In addition to the website launch and video release, 17,000 local residents can expect to receive the first of a series of newsletters direct through their door highlighting the many community benefits that come with the proposed development.
