Record month of new orders for Clark Contracts

Construction, refurbishment and maintenance contractor Clark Contracts secured £10 million of new work during the month of June, a record for the firm.

The company has been awarded contracts from new and existing customers across the retail, education, leisure and defence sectors.

The new orders include the £2.8m refurbishment and extension of Lady Alice Primary School in Greenock for Inverclyde Council, the £2.4m refurbishment of an Outfit Manufacturing Facility for BAE Systems and the refurbishment of the Sir Alwyn Williams Building for the University of Glasgow.



Clark Contracts will also be delivering its seventh project for Lidl UK as it has been awarded the construction of a new store on Easter Road in Leith, Edinburgh to replace the existing store.

The City of Edinburgh Council has also awarded the firm two new projects through its Contractor Works Framework which will see projects delivered at Sighthill and Dean Park Primary Schools.

Managing director Gordon Cunningham said: “Having already secured £40m of new business in the six months up to 31st March 2017, we are delighted to be continuing this strong start to the year and look forward to working with our new and existing customers.”
