Robertson Group has won a hat-trick of awards at a leading industry ceremony.

Three projects were honoured in Edinburgh at the National Site Awards, which are operated by the Considerate Constructors Scheme.

The first was the £120 million development of a new distillery and visitor experience in Moray for The Macallan. The landmark project – which received a Silver award – is being led by Robertson Construction’s Special Projects division.

The other two projects were in the education sector, with Robertson Central winning Silver for its work on North Uist Primary School and Robertson North East winning Bronze for Harelaw Primary School.

Derek Shewan, chief operating officer, Robertson Group, said: “We are firmly committed to the Considerate Constructors Scheme and to win awards for three distinct projects is a real honour.”

In 2015, Robertson received Associate Membership status with the Considerate Constructors Scheme.

Recognised across the industry as a beacon of best-practice, the Considerate Constructors Scheme was established by the construction industry to improve its image.

Registration with the Considerate Constructors Scheme requires members to abide by the Code of Considerate Practice, designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements.

The scheme focuses on any area of construction activity that may have a direct or indirect impact on the image of the industry as a whole.

Associate members must register all of their sites with the scheme; agree to work to the highest standards of consideration to the general public, the workforce and the environment; and promote the scheme and its aims.
