Nicola O’Callaghan

Nicola O’Callaghan has been appointed senior HR business partner and will lead the delivery of people strategies designed to grow the organisation’s performance and profitability and support the implementation of the recently launched D&I strategy within the group.

She brings more than 17 years’ experience, most recently from Transport for London (TfL) where she was responsible for spearheading people strategies across TfL’s customer services teams. Nicola has also been a mentor with The Girls’ Network for several years, a charity which aims to inspire girls from the least advantaged communities by connecting them to a mentor and a network of professional female role models.

SES has also appointed Paul Ross to its strategy board as financial controller. Ross, formerly of Arville Textiles and Morrisons Supermarkets, brings over 20 years’ experience in finance roles across a range of sectors including retail, FMCG, manufacturing and professional services.

Paul Ross

Paul will be responsible for financial reporting and control across SES, working closely with the commercial and operational teams to ensure robust financial governance and compliance while driving the delivery of the company’s financial targets.

A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, Paul has a passion for delivering strong financial support across a diverse range of stakeholders and for developing valued, integrated finance teams capable of adding real value in all areas of the business.

Jason Knights, managing director of SES Engineering Services, said: “Our business strategy is ambitious and it’s vital we have a talented and diverse senior team in place to deliver it. Nicola and Paul are an excellent fit for our business and I’m confident they will support our long-term growth.

“These hires both bring a wealth of experience from outside the construction industry which can help us spot new opportunities and develop new ways of working, ensuring we remain a successful company and supportive employer – not only within our sector, but in businesses overall.”
