Soben strengthens UK & Europe senior team
Quantity surveying and commercial management consultancy Soben has strengthened its senior team to focus on group growth.
Andrew Gallacher has been promoted to the role of UK & Europe managing director, and Ian Tucker takes the role of operations director – the position previously held by Mr Gallacher – whilst Sabrina Mohamed joins the business as key account director.
Owner and founder of the Scottish headquartered business, Scott Smyth, becomes group CEO of the organisation.
Mr Gallacher will oversee Soben’s activity in the UK and Europe, which includes the provision of quantity surveying support on major construction projects including office and residential developments, data centres, renewable energy schemes and infrastructure projects such as HS2.
He is set to build on the current success of the business, which includes recent long term framework contract appointments with a ‘Big Six’ energy firm, and a national multiple retailer. Plans are in place to further expand the UK team with the recruitment of additional quantity surveyors and commercial managers.
Mr Gallacher said: “Soben is a business that is set for continued growth in the UK and beyond, and it is a privilege to take on the position of managing director for the UK & Europe. I look forward to working alongside Ian and Sabrina in their new roles and with the rest of our fantastic team.”
Commenting on the appointments, Soben Group CEO Scott Smyth, said: “Andrew has demonstrated sound leadership skills and an unwavering commitment to our clients during his last four years with the business as operations director.
“I am delighted he has agreed to take on the role of managing director for the UK & Europe to lead the delivery of our ambitious expansion plans in the region. Andrew, Ian and Sabrina make a formidable team.
“These key appointment will also enable the group to further focus on the expansion of our operations in other markets internationally.”
