St Andrews hotel plan lodged by Muir Walker Pride Architects

Muir Walker Pride Architects has submitted a planning application for a new 62-bed hotel in St Andrews.

Situated on one of the main arterial routes into St Andrews, the architects said the hotel’s contemporary design recognises and interprets the architectural characteristics of the historic town.

Muir Walker Pride added: “The new design responds to the rounded turrets at street corners, towers, pend accesses and corbelling out of upper floors which are common architectural elements within the centre of St Andrews and define the vernacular.”

It is hoped the new hotel will be a welcome addition to the local economy, attracting employment and further boosting visitors to the town.
