Stewart Milne Group aims for hat-trick at Trades Awards

Stewart Milne Group is aiming for a hat-trick of accolades for its health and safety performance at the Trades Awards this weekend.

The independent housebuilder and timber systems manufacturer is a finalist in the Excellence in Health and Safety category at the virtual Trades Awards on Friday 9 October, and apprentice joiner Steph Barron is nominated for Apprentice of the Year.

It comes shortly after Stewart Milne Group was granted a President’s Award from the Royal Society of Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) in tribute to its consistency in delivering first class processes and policies which have led to year on year improvement in health and safety among its workforce and its sub-contractors for over a decade.

Greg Johnston, HSEQ director, said: “This achievement demonstrates our industry leading approach to health and safety performance and we hope to be able to complete a hat trick at next week’s awards by demonstrating our strong HSE culture that creates the a safe environment in which all our people can excel.”
