Taylor Wimpey to consult on proposed development at Robroyston

Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, along with its development partner Caledonian Properties Ltd, will host a public exhibition of its proposals to deliver a residential development of new homes along with associated engineering and infrastructure works through the development of land at Auchinairn Road, Robroyston.

The event will take place on Wednesday 20 June 2018 between 4pm and 8pm at Wallacewell Primary School, Robroyston, G21 3RH.

This public consultation is designed to encourage members of the public to share their views and to give their feedback before Taylor Wimpey West Scotland and Caledonian Properties Ltd, submits an application for Planning Permission in Principle to Glasgow City Council later this year.



Part of the site outlined for the proposed development is identified in the adopted Local Development Plan for residential development.

This pre-application consultation event will give members of the public the opportunity to view the development proposals for around 300 new homes set within an attractive landscape setting, with generous public open space and footpath links together with the associated infrastructure required for a development of this scale.

Lesley McVeigh, strategic land and planning manager for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, added: “We are fully committed to a detailed programme of engagement with local communities throughout the lifetime of our developments. “For large-scale development projects like this one, we are especially keen to engage fully as early as possible in the overall process in order to understand and consider the views from as many stakeholders as possible as we develop our proposal.

“Our public exhibition is an important part of the process, and we would encourage as many members of the public as possible to attend.



“Following the event, it is our intention to review all of the feedback that we receive in order to inform our design, prior to submitting a planning application for Planning Permission in Principle to Glasgow City Council later this year following the conclusion of the community consultation process.”
