Taylor Wimpey to hold public consultation ahead of application for new homes in Monifieth
Taylor Wimpey is to host an online public consultation event ahead of planning application for development of further new homes in Monifieth.
Later this year, Taylor Wimpey East Scotland plans to submit an application for planning permission in principle to Angus Council for the provision of 40 to 50 new homes through the development of land at Victoria Street, Monifieth.
The proposed development is bound by the A92 to the north and Victoria Street to the south, with Taylor Wimpey’s almost completed Victoria Grange development nearby. It aims to provide a mix of two, three and four bedroom homes, of which 25 per cent will be affordable and will create a modest extension to its neighbouring development.
Ahead of this application, Taylor Wimpey East Scotland is hosting an online public consultation event on Wednesday 21 July 2021 between 1.30pm-3.30pm and 5.00pm-7.30pm in order to keep the local community fully informed of its proposals for the development.
The digital consultation will offer members of the public the opportunity to chat directly to Taylor Wimpey’s design team to provide their feedback and comments about the proposed development.
The public consultation information boards, along with details of how to join the online consultation event on Wednesday 21 July 2021 will be available here from 18 July 2021. As part of Taylor Wimpey’s online approach to this consultation, members of the public are also encouraged to complete a ‘Have your say’ feedback form via this website to share their comments about the proposals.
The online public consultation event gives Taylor Wimpey East Scotland an opportunity to share its proposals for the development with members of the public, and to listen to their views as the plans for this key development evolve over the coming weeks.
Pauline Mills, land & planning director for Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, added: “Our online public consultation event is an important part of our community engagement strategy for a new development, which allows us to discuss our development proposals for the area with key stakeholders and members of the community.
“Our online public consultation event on Wednesday 21 July 2021 for Victoria Street will give us the opportunity to understand and consider the views from as many stakeholders as possible as we develop our proposal for our next development in Monifieth and create a modest extension to our existing Victoria Grange development.
“Unfortunately, due to the ongoing health emergency, we are unable to hold our public consultation event in the traditional format, however I would like to take this opportunity to encourage the local community to engage with us online to share their views so that we may consider these as we develop our emerging development proposal.
“Alternatively, our ‘Have your say’ form is also available on our website, and members of the public can give us their feedback in that way if this is more convenient.”
