Young Professionals in Construction to host inaugural event

YPiCA group of young construction professionals is to host its first event which aims to widen the professional networks of junior people from all areas of the Scottish construction industry.

Young Professionals in Construction (YPiC) said it hopes to fill a void experienced in the construction industry when it comes to meeting people across various disciplines.

A combined effort between BAM, 3DReid and Maclay Murray & Spens LLP, the group will hold its inaugural event of Summer Drinks on September 30th on the balcony of Quartermile One overlooking Edinburgh Castle.

There will be food and drink served throughout the evening, during which time there will be a short introduction to YPiC followed by guest speaker, Chris Stewart, a former Property Week ‘Rising Star’ and Scottish Property ‘Newcomer of the Year’, speaking about his experience in the construction industry and the rise of his development company, the Chris Stewart Group, which developed the award-winning Advocate’s Close in Edinburgh and is due to begin works on the George Street Complex in Glasgow.

The evening is intended to encourage networking amongst young professionals in the industry, which there will be plenty of time for.
