If approved, the homes will be built at 1212 Edinburgh Road and would comprise of a variety of two and three-bed terraced houses and three-bed semi-detached homes, reGlasgow reports.

A design statement submitted with the application reads: “The site is currently vacant and provides an opportunity to provide much-needed new homes in an area already well-equipped and suited to residential developments.

“The proposed housing for the development reflects the massing and heights of neighbouring developments.

“We have taken the opportunity to create a green corridor that transects the site, linking Edinburgh Road to the heart of the site and providing amenity space for future residents.”

“The land was previously used as a training facility and is next to the cleared site of the former Springboig St John’s School which is itself subject of a planning application for 156 houses and apartments.”
