175-bed hotel approved at former Inverness swimming pool site

Development company Vastint Hospitality has secured planning permission for a new hotel on the banks of the River Ness.

The site, near Inverness city centre, has lain empty since the former Glebe Street Swimming Pool was demolished in 1999.
The Highland Council gave the proposals the green light on Wednesday after planning officers recommended the project for approval.
The Keppie-designed hotel will be operated by the Mariott hotel chain.
