300 homes plan deferred until site earmarked for school

Plans for a 300-home development in Aberdeenshire have been deferred until a suitable location for a primary school is identified.
The Stewart Milne Homes scheme was recommended for approval by Aberdeenshire Council planning officers.
However members of Garioch area committee agreed to defer a decision over the proposal for land west of Hillbrae Way at Newmachar.
The plans sought planning permission in principle for the residential development, primary education provision and associated infrastructure including roads and drainage.
Aberdeenshire Council approved a masterplan for the site in 2013 but the decision has been deferred.
