Aarsleff boosts Scottish support with new business stream manager and office base
Foundation contractor Aarsleff Ground Engineering has announced the appointment of Paul Simpson as business stream manager for the northern region and Scotland.
The appointment coincides with the Aarsleff’s opening of a new northern office in Wallsend, Tyne and Wear, where Paul will be based, enabling the company to better service the needs of its clients in Scotland down to the M62 corridor.
Reporting to the head of pre-construction, Paul will represent the Aarsleff brand in the northern area and Scotland as well as developing its market position by building key customer relationships, identifying business opportunities and negotiating and closing business deals, whilst maintaining an extensive knowledge of current market conditions to achieve financial growth.
Paul joins Aarsleff from Van Elle, where he was for eight years working across a variety of positions including piling rig crew member, rig operator before taking up a position as a piling estimator which led to a role in operations overseeing all projects in the North of England and Scotland for the last three years. His last role saw him taking larger projects from order placement through to final account, operating within the residential, commercial and infrastructure sectors.
