ACCORD Hospice receives final donation from Taylor Wimpey
At the launch of its development for sale in Paisley, Taylor Wimpey West Scotland teamed up with the ACCORD Hospice in Paisley to donate £25 for each new home sold and legally completed at its new development at Hawkhead Gardens in Paisley.
The homebuilder donated the final tranche of £600 this month, completing the total of £5,250 pledged to ACCORD when work started at Hawkhead Gardens five years ago.
All of the money donated by Taylor Wimpey West Scotland has contributed to the hospice’s ongoing mission to provide palliative and end-of-life care to people living with or affected by a life-limiting illness in Renfrewshire and parts of East Renfrewshire.
Audrey Ross, sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, said: “We are delighted and proud to have completed our commitment to make a total donation of £5,250 to the ACCORD Hospice. Our last donation of £600 signals the completion of our Hawkhead Gardens development in Paisley but does not diminish our admiration for the dedicated support this essential local charity and the service that it provides for the community.
“Working with the ACCORD Hospice over the last five years has been a real honour, and supporting local charities and organisations surrounding our developments means a great deal to us. It’s always lovely to know that we are helping to make a difference in the lives of people in our local communities.”
Commenting on the support from Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, Vanessa Robinson, senior fundraiser from ACCORD Hospice, added: “We are extremely grateful for the support that we have received over the years from Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, and we can’t thank them enough for their ongoing support of our work. Since 2019, their donations have been put to work locally to help us achieve the overall aim of providing our service to the local community. On behalf of everyone at ACCORD, I would like to say a huge thank you.”
