Alison Kilgour
Construction and property consultancy Thomas & Adamson has appointed Alison Kilgour as business development director to support the firm’s growth throughout the UK.
Alison has previously held director-level roles at several construction and property businesses. Her career began as a quantity surveyor, before moving into a bid management position at Miller Construction two decades ago. More recently she has specialised further in business development and will support Thomas & Adamson to strengthen its presence in key sectors such as life sciences, education, residential and workplace, while broadening the client base.
While based in Edinburgh, Alison will support the senior leadership team across the UK to enhance the core offering of building surveying, project management, cost management and construction safety services, as well as supporting the introduction of new services.
Thomas & Adamson was acquired by global architectural, advisory, construction engineering and mobility services firm Egis last year, bringing a wider range of services to clients and unlocking further collaborative opportunities in key sectors such as aviation and decarbonisation.
Zander Muego, director at Thomas & Adamson, said: “Alison is a welcome addition to the team and we look forward to having her support as we continue an exciting journey after joining Egis last May, helping to strengthen our core business, as well as expand our capabilities in key sectors and locations across the country. Her decades of experience across a range of construction roles will offer a useful perspective across the entire business.”
Alison said: “Thomas & Adamson is a company I have always admired for its culture and values, having worked alongside the firm on a range of collaborative projects throughout my career to date. The firm has grown significantly to add new service lines in recent years and has created a diverse portfolio of great projects that I look forward to building on.”
