Alpha Scotland offers unique residency in visionary new office
Furniture and design specialist Alpha Scotland is extending its reach with a decision to occupy much larger premises in Glasgow.
Formerly in the city’s West Regent Street, today sees the official opening of its state of the art office in a new 11-storey development at 133 Finnieston Street with panoramic views of the Clyde.
Established two years ago, the company is marking the move with an unusual competition to win a fortnight’s residency in its contemporary and innovative space.
The offer is open to all self-employed homeworkers who feel their current surroundings stifle creativity and productivity. Entrants are being asked to submit photos of their home working environment alongside a short paragraph outlining why they feel a change of scenery would be of benefit.
Formerly Steelcase, Alpha Scotland was bought by Belfast-based Alpha Group in 2016.
The company recently announced that it had won a major contract to kit out key learning spaces at the University of the West of Scotland’s new £110 million campus in Lanarkshire.
Chief executive, Paul Black, said: “The team at Alpha Scotland specialise in creating environments that encourage more effective working. We want to give someone, who wouldn’t normally get the chance, the opportunity to experience first-hand the difference this expertise makes.”
