Amendment lodged for James Watt Dock Marina administration building
The developers behind plans for a new marina administration building at James Watt Dock Marina in Greenock have submitted new plans for the approved project.
About this development:
- Authority:Inverclyde
- Type:Commercial
- Applications:
- Team:James Watt Marina Limited (developer), Richard Robb Architects (architect)

Initially submitted back in 2017 by Richard Robb Architects on behalf of James Watt Marina Limited, the application aimed to deliver a £1.25 million operational office for the marina together with new first class facilities for the marina customers that will replace the existing portacabins.
A bespoke bistro café and three retail and office units were also incorporated in the design, all enjoying commanding views over James Watt Dock and conveniently located for ease of access by land and water. 27 parking spaces are proposed as part of the works.

Following talks with Inverclyde’s planning department, a new application seeks to remove an oversailing flagpole canopy from the original designs.
The project team includes Fairhurst (Glasgow), Allied Surveyors Scotland (Greenock) and Butler Consulting.
