And finally… Actress Katie Holmes ‘unknowingly photoshopped’ onto London CGI
Hollywood actress Katie Holmes has been spotted on a computer generated image (CGI) created to advertise a proposed café in south-east London.
The actress and her daughter Suri Cruise were superimposed on a billboard in Plumstead Common, which was used to advertise the new Slade Café that opened this month.
The picture (published here in the Evening Standard) shows the pair appearing to enjoy the space around the café, which was housed in a restored structure that was previously public toilets in the 1900s
However, the photograph was actually taken by paparazzi in New York in 2012.
This is the second time that this picture has been discovered on an advertisement in London. Last year, it was used for a new multi-unit residence in London’s Croydon area being erected by a different architect.
Nick Smith, one of the area’s residents who spotted the actress, shared with the Evening Standard: “I walk past every morning on my way to work. You wouldn’t expect to see that on the billboard advertising a new café. It’s just funny - I thought it was maybe the architect having fun.”
A spokesman for the Royal Borough of Greenwich said: “The artist’s impression used on the hoarding [billboard] of the newly opened Slade Café in Plumstead was supplied to the council in good faith by the architecture practice who designed it. The Royal Borough of Greenwich would be delighted to invite Katie and her daughter to the Slade Café for a free coffee to say sorry.”
