And finally… brick by brick
Musselburgh’s Newhailes House has been painstakingly recreated with 20,000 LEGO bricks as part of an all-day event.
The “LEGO Masterbuild” event, led by Warren Elsmore, saw visitors invited to help recreate the historic building over the course of 13 hours.
The Palladian house played a prominent role in the Scottish Enlightenment and is managed by the National Trust for Scotland.
Dixie Sudron, visitor services manager at Newhailes, told the East Lothian Courier: “It was a really lovely and happy event that brought together a great mix of adults and children who were keen LEGO enthusiasts.
“The weather was excellent, which was a nice change, and it was phenomenal to see Newhailes House come to life in LEGO form.
“It was amazing to have Warren Elsmore involved and see his vision for creating the house with LEGO bricks. He was also delighted that it was his shortest ever commute, as he lives very nearby in Midlothian.”
