A developer which demolished a historic building in Dublin last week has been told to rebuild it.
The O’Rahilly House gained protection in Irish law days before it was demolished by Derryroe Ltd as part of a residential development.
The demolition of the former home of Michael Joseph O’Rahilly, one of the leaders of the 1916 Easter Rising, has sparked a furious backlash.
Dublin City Council agreed on Monday to demand “the immediate restoration of the house”, which has been fully demolished.
