And finally… Chinese company builds 57-floor skyscraper in just 19 days
A construction company in China built this 57-floor, 2-million-square-foot skyscraper with prefabricated sections in just 19 days—meaning workers were putting up around three floors per day.
The building has 19 10-meter-tall atriums, office space for 4,000 people and 800 apartments. Plus, the modular building process reduced the use of concrete by 15,000 trucks, meaning that less dust was released into the air.
The company behind the construction, Broad Sustainable Building, previously accomplished constructing a 30-story building in Changsha in just 15 days. Broad claims that its technology is “the most profound innovation in human history”. While the rapid construction is eco-conscious, however, people have raised concern over safety.
