And finally… Construction worker issues Beyonce apology after joking he’d make her stage collapse

A construction worker has apologised to Beyonce after joking he wanted to make her stage collapse, according to The Mirror.

The employee - known simply as Austin - is thought to be one of the team working on the singer’s Formation Tour.

Putting together the set for her show in San Diego on Thursday, Austin shared a picture of a crane and revealed he was setting things up for Bey.

After the picture was posted online, a friend suggested it would be funny if Austin could make the stage unstable.

The user wrote: “Badass. But Make it so it collapses on her Lol.”

Meanwhile construction worker Austin found this funny, agreeing: “I wish I could.”

The comment quickly spurred a reaction from Bey’s staunch fanbase.

Eventually it was enough to urge Austin to issue an apology to the songstress and her fans.

“I would like to apologize for my comment. I was working and took it out of context,” the apology began.

“I misspoke and obviously everybody should be aware that what you say whether you mean it or not has consequences.”

The construction worker also insisted he would never purposely harm Beyonce despite his comment coming across as threatening.

He added: “First person I would like to apologize to is @beyonce family and fans. I would never do anything in my life that could cause anyone harm.

“I truly am sorry for my bad judgement, and hope that this can be forgiven. I also would like to apologize to all companies involved for my misspoken words.

“And this will be a lesson that I will take to heart. Austin.”
