And finally…four days of World Cup skiving projected for UK workers
The average number of unauthorised absences expected for each football fan in the UK could be as a high as four days during the course of this summer’s World Cup in Russia, a new survey has revealed.
The poll of over 2,000 UK workers who work a median 7 hour day at the UK’s average earnings per hour, was cross referenced with the viewing figures from the last World Cup four years ago.
And the resulting report, produced by FootballTips.com, estimates that it could cost the UK’s economy up to £13bn.
If these figures are to be believed, and in the unlikely event England progress to the final stages, the UK economy - and Scotland - could conceivably combust!
