And finally… Glasgow voted pothole capital of UK
Glasgow has been voted as the worst city in the UK for potholes.
As reported by the Daily Record, a survey revealed that nine in 10 locals claim they have to dodge them on a daily basis.
The survey revealed that people found potholes more irritating than tailgaters, drivers who don’t indicate and even breaking down.
Ahead of National Pothole Day, Tarmac boss Paul Fleetham said: “Potholes may seem like a minor problem but they cause millions of people financial and physical damage each year.
“Our research shows the vast majority of dwellers are fed up with the inconvenience they cause.
“We need to move to a longer-term proactive approach to funding that focuses on the social value of our roads, managing the network as a vital asset.”
The study revealed that 43% of drivers have had their car damaged by a pothole. The top cause of damage was a burst tyre.
When travelling from their home to the nearest convenience store, the average Briton avoids 18 potholes.
