And finally... gnome improvement

A secret society has been covertly refurbishing garden gnomes in a Canadian city, according to reports.

Kelowna resident Kelly Blair told Kelowna Capital News that his garden gnomes mysteriously disappeared at the end of June – which he assumed was an act of theft.

But at the start of July, an elderly woman returned the gnomes on behalf of the ‘Gnome Restoration Society’ in better shape than they had been before.

All of the gnomes had been cleaned and painted, and two extra gnomes had been included too.

Mr Blair said: “The gnomes are home. It totally made my day.”

He added: “The detail is just incredible. Thank you so much for this random act of kindness.”
