And finally… short-cited
Edinburgh locals have been left baffled by a newly-painted stretch of double yellow lines measuring just 30 centimetres long.
The road markings mean vehicles cannot park in the tiny area on Melville Street between designated parking spots and a new cycle path, Edinburgh Live reports.
Local resident George Johnson, 79, told Edinburgh Live: “It’s quite funny, I suppose. But I was a lorry driver for years and had to follow the highway code.
“But nowadays, I’ve noticed no-one follows the roads or cares about the road markings.”
Another resident, Jamie, said: “It’s just bizarre.”
