And finally… The 10 companies dominating the global construction industry
In an effort to put the world’s ten biggest construction companies size and revenue into perspective, online merchant Roof Stores has been investigating exactly where these companies operate, how much money they make, how many staff members they employ and have calculated revenue per employee.
It found that companies that have the largest revenues that are not necessarily the most efficient.
Take ACS for example, while it brought in around £30 billion, it also has close to 210,000 employees, giving it the lowest revenue per employee of the top 10 companies, at £142,857.
Compare this to Bechtel that has a slightly lower revenue of £25bn, but only around 53,000 staff, giving it a revenue per employee at £471,698.
