A large collection of memorabilia commemorating the leader of the Dambusters raid has been sold at auction.
The raid saw Gibson and other RAF bombers attack German damns in May 1943.
A total of 54 lots made up the collection, including items that belonged to Wing Cdr Guy Gibson.
The items sold for more then twice the expected price at the auction on Tuesday, finally selling for £24,000, BBC News reports.
