Clients of Anderson Bell + Christie (ABC) will now be offered an in-house embodied carbon lifecycle assessment using One Click LCA.

The software is compliant with EN 15978 and EN 15804 standards and ABC processes adhere to all UK-NZCBS, RIBA, RICS and LETI user guidance.

ABC carbon assessor Francisco Shankland, a certified construction lifecycle assessment specialist, said: “Embodied carbon is the greatest challenge facing the construction industry, we urge clients to build a detailed understanding of the embodied carbon associated with their briefs.”

Director Jonathan McQuillan said: “With support from Scottish Enterprise we have piloted the tool extensively on our own domestic and non-domestic projects.  Our testing process also tested and validated alternative material strategies to understand the art of the possible.”

ABC can now provide embodied carbon assessment on individual projects. This is offered alongside a strategic advice service, to help clients develop whole estate net zero carbon plans for 2045.
